Pre-Installation Notes
1. Product thickness may vary for different surface profiles. The bedding layers specified will accommodate normal product thickness variations.
2. The Art of Color Magica™ produces random color variations. The most natural color effect is achieved by placing modules so as distribute the color variations.
Installation Notes
1. StoneTile Modules in Vehicular Traffic applications.
Site specific designs are absolutely necessary. A traffic study conducted by NAVASTONE™ Engineering is available; 25mm (1") and 60mm (23/8") thick modules 300 X 300mm (12" X 12") were tested installed on a concrete overlay.
2. StoneTile 25mm (1") thickness in interior applications.
Project specific designs are recommended. Standard materials and practices for setting and grouting tiles are recommended. System control joints are strongly recommended to minimize tile cracking in mortared installations.
Protective Sealant: For added protection against pavement stains and/or added beauty, use an acrylic sealant, applied as per the manufacturer's instructions.

How to Rock-Face a StoneTile Module

Step 1: Choose the edge of the module to be rock-faced. Measure & mark top and bottom of module to establish a 'cut & split' line. Recommended minimum distance from edge of module to the 'cut & split' line is 25mm (1")
Step 2: Using a concrete saw, make a shallow cut (approx. 5mm or 1/4" deep) along the line established in Step 1.
Step 3: Place the module on a soft surface for cutting/splitting (e.g. sand pile).
Step 4: Using a 100mm (4") chisel & hammer, knock off the edge of the module to create the rock face. Per the illustration shown at left, we recommend several passes of light hammering around the module, starting at the sides.
Step 5: install the rock faced module.
All concrete StoneTile modules manufactured by NAVASTONE™ Inc. meets or exceed the following specifications:
